Fe Metals was incorporated in Singapore in 2009 by experienced industry professionals to trade globally in a wide portfolio of ferrous products from scrap and iron ore to semis and finished steel with special focus on South East Asia, China, Europe/ Middle East and the former CIS.

Fe Metals started operations as a principal with its own banking lines and by 2011 had a turnover in excess of USD100million.

Today Fe Metals along with its sister company Overseas Ventures Pte Ltd (OVPL) has expanded its offerings both in trade as well as in services - we  support our partners in their financial/ industrial growth and in the use of AI technology across various applications. Our business now encompasses:

 Finance and Trade Structures based on trade flows

 Optimisation engine based on Artificial Intelligence developed in Australia by Opturion. The optimisation engine is an exciting proprietary leading edge AI algorithm to replace traditional LP methodologies that will dramatically improve resource utilisation.

 Service centre equipment (coilers/ decoilers/ cut-to-length/ shearing/ edge trimming) and ERW pipe machines, press brake machines and spiral pipe machines through a tie up with well-known China engineering groups


Anuj Mahajan: Over 35 years in the steel industry, covering global senior responsibilities with companies such as Tata Steel (Tata Administrative Service), Cargill, Duferco and Liberty Commodities. He set up Tata Steel offices in Dubai and Singapore; At Cargill he pioneered the iron ore division, set up the India operations, created the global HRC trading network; For Duferco he set up the business in Asia and was the Managing Director of Duferco Asia for 5 years; Headed Liberty's global steel and iron ore trading as the Executive Director of the group.

Tanya Prasad: Over 25 years in the industry, starting with steel sales for Essar Steel and moving on to trading with Stemcor and then Cargill in India. She headed Duferco's South East Asia’s trading business and then was Liberty Steel's Regional Manager for India and South East Asia. She has experience in a wide range of steel products, raw materials, metallic, semis, longs and flats and has built an extensive and excellent relationship with steel mills and users across Asia from China/ Taiwan/ Korea to Singapore/ South East Asia and India/ Pakistan/ Bangladesh.
